As the AP Macroeconomics exam is easier than most of the exams, you can smoothly go through the self-study part. You can literally start preparing a week before the exam and crack it.

All that you need to do is, prepare smartly!

For the exam, the College Board recommends that you should spend half of your time on the long Free-Response essay question and divide the remaining time equally on the two short Free-Response essay questions.  The long question usually involves a lot of related content areas whereas the shorter ones focus on mainly a single area.

The College Board also provides free sample test questions that you can check.

For the preparation of the exam, we recommend you to start off by first analyzing the AP Macroeconomics Crash Course book. And without wasting any time start taking their online tests.

After the online test, you will get to know your strong points and, most importantly, your weak points as well. This is just what you need. Analyze and review the areas you are the weakest at, and then go to Princeton Combo book to work on correcting and clearing the concepts.

After that, you can go for the practice test covered in the Princeton Study guide, and you are good to take on the exam and crack it!
